Vraj Iron & Steel Q1 net profit down 4.03% at Rs 14.78 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 14.78 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2024 as compared to Rs 15.40 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 4.03 per cent.
Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 8.44 per cent at Rs 114.60 crore in April-June quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 105.68 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During April-June quarter, operating expenses increased by 11.45 per cent to Rs 93.52 crore from Rs 83.91 crore in year ago period.
Other Income dipped by 54.81 per cent at Rs 0.47 crore versus (Jun'23 Rs 1.04 crore).
Operating Profit slipped by 3.17 per cent to Rs 21.08 crore as against Rs 21.77 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 10.73 per cent in June quarter.
Interest declined by 16.67 per cent y-o-y to Rs 0.50 crore, while Taxation decreased by 7.09 per cent at Rs 4.98 crore (Jun'23 Rs 5.36 crore).
