Swarnsarita Jewels posts Q3 net profit of Rs 0.03 cr

The company reported standalone net profit during the quarter stood at Rs 0.03 crore compared to net loss of Rs 1.83 crore in the previous year quarter.
Net revenue of the company declined substantially by 24.22 per cent at Rs 175.11 crore in October-December quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 231.08 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During October-December quarter, operating expenses dropped by 25.29 per cent to Rs 173.76 crore from Rs 232.59 crore in year ago period.
Other Income grew by 616.67 per cent at Rs 1.29 crore versus (Dec'22 Rs 0.18 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 189.40 per cent to Rs 1.35 crore as against Rs -1.51 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 218.46 per cent in December quarter.
Interest grew by 136.45 per cent y-o-y to Rs 2.53 crore, while Taxation increased by 101.56 per cent at Rs 0.01 crore (Dec'22 Rs -0.64 crore).
