Sensex up 456 pts, Nifty atop 22,200; Bajaj twins surge

Indian equity benchmark indices were trading higher on Thursday, the last trading day of the week and month, backed by buying in IT and financial shares. Tomorrow, Friday, markets will be closed on account of Good Friday holiday.
Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finserv were the top performers, up nearly 2 per cent each after RBI said relaxed the norms on investments in Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) for banks and NBFCs.
At 9:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 73453.08 up by 456.77 points or by 0.63 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22224.75 up by 101.1 points or by 0.46 %.

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1630.85,+3.14%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 7213.95,+2.72%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1100.25,+1.50%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 274.75,+1.37%), State Bank of India (Rs. 743.75,+1.32%), among others.
The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1533.40,-0.90%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1246.35,-0.58%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 12475.65,-0.36%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1051.30,-0.22%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1222.60,-0.17%), among others.
