Indian equity benchmark indices were seen holding steady gains in Wednesday's intra-day trade amid mixed cues from global peers.

At 12:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 73026.16 up by 555.86 points or by 0.77 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22166.55 up by 161.85 points or by 0.74 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 73064.82 and intraday low of 72600.73 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 22183.35 and intraday low of 22052.85

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 12666.05,+3.35%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2980.10,+3.33%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3716.15,+1.26%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1616.35,+1.21%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1770.70,+0.90%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2559.75,-1.09%), Wipro Ltd. (Rs. 477.50,-0.47%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1589.15,-0.26%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3870.40,-0.17%), among others.
