Pre-Session: Nifty likely to breach 19K amid firm global cues

The Sensex and Nifty indices are looking to have a gap-up opening on Thursday amid upbeat sentiment across global peers.
Further, the manufacturing PMI data for November will be closely tracked by the Street today.
In the primary market, Dharmaj Crop Guard’s initial public offering (IPO) garnered nearly 36 times subscription as its bidding closed on Wednesday, while Uniparts India’s IPO was subscribed 58 per cent on the first day of the issue.
In the secondary market, KPI Green Energy will be in focus as the company’s board has approved a 1:1 bonus share issue.
On Wednesday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 63099.65 up by 417.81 points or by 0.67 % and then NSE Nifty was at 18758.35 up by 140.3 points or by 0.75 %.
On the global front, US Fed Chair Jerome Powell on Wednesday said that it now makes sense to moderate the pace of rate hikes going ahead and that smaller rate increases could start as soon as December.
Following his statement, the Dow snapped its three-day losing streak and closed 2.18 per cent up, the Nasdaq jumped 4.41 per cent and the S&P 500 rose 3 per cent.
In Asia too, stocks gained this morning as the Hang Seng index rose 2 per cent. The Nikkei edged 1 per cent higher. Strait times also added 0.5 per cent.

Along with this total number of contracts traded in stock futures were 795886 with a total turnover of Rs. 57125.13 Crore. Total numbers of contracts for index options were 152033896 with a total turnover of Rs. 15523021.82 Crore. and total numbers of contracts for stock options were 2578158 with a total turnover of Rs. 189319.75 Crore.
The FIIs on 30/11/2022 stood as net buyer in equity and debt. Gross equity purchased stood at Rs. 6605.43 Crore and gross debt purchased stood at Rs. 381.59 Crore, while the gross equity sold stood at Rs. 5326.11 Crore and gross debt sold stood at Rs. 319.64 Crore. Therefore, the net investment of equity and debt reported were Rs. 1279.32 Crore and Rs. 61.95
