The Indian equity benchmarks ended higher for the seventh consecutive session on November 30, scaling record highs amid buying across sectors barring PSU banks.

After a firm start, the market remained flat in the first half but last-hour buying helped indices cross new milestones, with the Sensex hitting 63,303.01 and the Nifty crossing 18,800 for the first time to touch 18,816.05.

The 30-share benchmark index ended at 63099.65 up by 417.81 points or by 0.67 % and then NSE Nifty was at 18758.35 up by 140.3 points or by 0.75 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 63303.01 and intraday low of 62648.38 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 18816.05 and intraday low of 18616.55

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1307.20,+4.00%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 7076.75,+2.16%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 224.00,+2.14%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2680.15,+1.78%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 848.65,+1.55%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1167.35,-1.07%), State Bank of India (Rs. 602.50,-0.97%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1120.65,-0.66%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 340.05,-0.64%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1044.35,-0.50%), among others.

Power index was at 4698.99 up by 108.09 points or by 2.35%. Adani Transmission Ltd. (Rs. 2925.20,+5.08%), Adani Green Energy Ltd. (Rs. 2109.35,+4.88%), Adani Power Ltd. (Rs. 331.90,+2.20%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 224.00,+2.14%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 172.25,+1.17%),. PSU index was at 10021.1 down by 13.46 points or by 0.13%. The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3849 , shares advanced were 2179 while 1532 shares declined and 138 were unchanged.
