Post-Session: Sensex soars 1,293 pts, Nifty ends near 24,850

Benchmarks Sensex and Nifty saw massive rallies on Friday as all indices ended in green.
The day belonged to the bulls as 27 out of 30 stocks on BSE Sensex saw gains with Bharti Airtel, Adani Ports, Sun Pharma, Tata Steel, and Infosys among others ending 4-3 per cent higher, while HDFC Bank, HUL and Nestle India saw marginal declines.
On the NSE, Shriram Finance was the top gainer, rising over 9 per cent followed by Cipla and Divis Labs, while ONGC and HDFC Bank saw a decline on the exchange.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 81332.72 up by 1292.92 points or by 1.62 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24834.85 up by 428.75 points or by 1.76 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 81427.18 and intraday low of 80013.6 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24861.15 and intraday low of 24410.9
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1514.70,+4.51%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1541.15,+3.61%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 162.60,+3.27%), JSW Steel Ltd. (Rs. 900.30,+2.96%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1878.75,+2.93%), among others.
The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 2478.70,-0.07%), among others.
Metal index was at 32261.59 up by 998.37 points or by 3.19%. NMDC Ltd. (Rs. 238.55,+3.76%), Steel Authority of India (SAIL) Ltd. (Rs. 147.45,+3.69%), Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. (Rs. 972.25,+3.67%), Coal India Ltd. (Rs. 509.45,+3.54%), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (Rs. 667.70,+3.39%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4296 , shares advanced were 2763 while 1397 shares declined and 136 were unchanged.
